DESCRIPTION:Carve out some fun this Fall in this comprehensive five-week ceramic sculpture class covering a range of handbuilding techniques and a hint of seasonal gourd-geousness. You will learn to work with clay using pinch\, slab\, and coil techniques. Use these skills to design and make small pots or vessels that can be open or completely enclosed. Along with making your own unique sculptures you will have an opportunity to make a pumpkin using the pinch method\, adding leaf\, stalk and vine elements using slab and extruder techniques. You will make and glaze up to three ceramic sculptures during the course\, which will be fired and ready to collect after two weeks.

DESCRIPTION:The Art of Presence is a 10-week mindfulness-based art therapy group for adults seeking a space to slow down\, reconnect with themselves\, and explore the creative process in a supportive community. \nThrough mindfulness practices\, art-making\, personal reflection\, and group conversation\, we will cultivate greater awareness\, self-compassion\, and creative expression. Together\, we’ll practice being present with ourselves and one another\, allowing the creative process to become a pathway toward insight\, resilience\, and well-being. \nAbsolutely no experience in mindfulness\, meditation\, or art making is needed.\nJoin us and begin your week in a connected and creative way! \nYour facilitator: Sara Roizen is a registered art therapist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Her practice is informed by advanced training in trauma-informed therapy and somatic art therapy and her background as a mindfulness and meditation teacher and Reiki master – each of which shapes a grounded\, intuitive\, and attentive way of working with others. \nThe Space Between is a creative arts therapy studio. Sara founded this space to be an intentional place\, where we can slow down\, listen inward\, and engage creatively without pressure or expectation. DESCRIPTION:10 Week Art Therapy Group for Therapists \nYou spend your days holding space for others. This group is an invitation to have space held for you. This 10-week closed creative support group is designed for psychotherapists from any background who are seeking a place to slow down\, recenter\, and connect with peers through the creative and reflective process. \nThis is not a traditional supervision group and not focused on case consultation. Instead\, we’ll gather as colleagues\, using creative arts practices—including visual art\, journaling\, reflection\, and group process – to support our own wellbeing\, insight\, and connection. No art experience is needed. SUMMARY:Wheel throwing pottery workshop
DESCRIPTION:If you worked with clay before or not\, the one-time workshops are great idea for a fun time where you try something new and little messy. The teacher will lead the demos and assist you throughout the workshop. You make many pots you want and will choose to keep your 2 favorite. You choose the glaze and the studio staff will handle the rest of the process. Pots will be ready in few weeks. Will notify you when ready for pick up.
