SUMMARY:Handbuilding Workshop at Fennel House Studios
DESCRIPTION:Join Kendall from Klay House Ceramics for a hand-building workshop on August 17\, 2023 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. Hosted by Fennel House Studio located in Beverly\, MA. Doors open 15 minutes before the workshop and close 10 minutes after we begin. \nIn this workshop you will learn the basics of hand building using pinch pot\, slab\, and in-lay techniques in an Open Studio. Once we cover the building techniques let your creativity run wild to create whatever kind of pot you can dream up and I will be there to guide you along the way. \nIn addition to building techniques\, surface design such as stamping and creating attachments will be taught and used as needed for your individual design. We recommend you bring your own sketches or print outs of your favorite motifs\, foraged plants from your yard\, patterns and images to start your process! \nYour pot will be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Tuition includes clay\, tools\, glaze\, and kiln firing. Wine spritzers and charcuterie boards are available as add ons from With Flour. Gentle words of encouragement and fun tunes will be provided. \nWorkshop if refundable up to 14 days prior to event\, after this point it is non-refundable.
