DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday November 8th from 12-2pm for an afternoon of learning hemming basics! Learn three ways to hem an edge by hand (running\, catch\, and blind stitches) and meet a new friend while you’re here! Your instructor will bring a sewing machine along for those thick fabrics and double folds. \nYou can bring your own clothes to mend or you can practice on the materials available in the class! \nStudents will learn:\n-new information on how to hem your clothes without a sewing machine\n-a few practice examples of three different kinds of stitches\n-All materials including snacks will be provided! \nWho would love taking this workshop?\n-people who want to learn how to alter their clothing\n-sewing beginners\n-those who want to learn a new skill

SUMMARY:MAKE A WINTER HOLIDAY CENTERPIECE OR DOOR WREATH
DESCRIPTION:Make a beautiful wreath for Thanksgiving\, Christmas\, or just to enjoy that you can\nhang on your door\, a wall\, or use as a centerpiece on your table (a small hanger\non the back lets you do either!). Using locally collected dried herbs and flowers\,\nseed stalks\, and more\, as well as pine cones\, nuts\, faux berries and leaves\,\ncinnamon sticks\, and more\, you’ll create a unique 6” to 10” wreath This wreath is\na lovely way to bring the energy of the season into your home. Bring a glue gun\n(preferably one with a trigger) and glue sticks if you can. All other materials are\nprovided. This is a fun\, creative way to connect with the plant energies of the\nseason and bring them into your living space! \nStudents will walk away from the class with:\n-skills on how to make a door wreath or centerpiece wreath\n-community building skills\n-hopefully some friends! \nWho this workshop is for:\n-People who are crafty and like making things with their hands. No experience required\, everyone always ends up making something terrific! \nAll supplies are included.
