DESCRIPTION:Join us at FBC Beverly’s Bowling for Dollars event Sunday\, January 5th to raise money for our 2025 Service Trip to Marion\, VA this summer! \nCome join us at Cape Ann Lanes/ Laneside Pub & Brewery\, in Gloucester\, MA\, on Sunday\, January 5th from 4-6 pm. This is a “bowling for dollars” event in which bowlers of all ages can enjoy an evening of candlepin bowling while simultaneously supporting our summer service trip. A portion of each ticket sold will benefit our service trippers; shoe rental is included with your ticket\, but food and beverages are available for purchase at the bowling alley. \nTickets are $20 per person and are on sale NOW! We’ll also have a 50/50 raffle drawing! All are welcome so please feel free to invite friends! The more\, the merrier! \n*This event is co-sponsored with our FBC Fun Squad\, so expect lots of EXTRA fun\, shenanigans and prizes!

SUMMARY:Blessing of the Animals
DESCRIPTION:The man recognized today as St. Francis of Assisi is perhaps most widely known for his love of nature and of animals\, to whom he would often preach and who he regularly called his “brothers and sisters.” As such\, a variety of Christian churches mark the Feast Day of St. Francis–either on October 4 or the closest Sunday to it–by providing a Blessing of the Animals service. \nThis year First Baptist Church is partnering with the Second Congregational Church (UCC) on Conant Street to offer this service. All are welcome to bring their pets\, or even just memories or pictures of their pets\, and join us at Second Church at 3:00 p.m. this Sunday\, October 6. The short service at that time will honor the help\, sustenance\, assistance\, and consolation that animals provide\, as well reminding us that God was the very first to bless the animals in the first days of Creation.

SUMMARY:FBC Beverly's Youth Fellowship Kick-Off Event at Chebacco Lake!
DESCRIPTION:Our VERY FIRST Youth Fellowship program for this year (a Lake Party Kick-Off Celebration on Sunday\, September 15th\, from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.) commences this Sunday for those in Grades 5-8 and in Grades 9-12! Read on for all the details! \nWe can’t wait to kick-off the year all together at the lake! Everyone is to arrive at the church NO LATER THAN 12:!5 p.m. so we can get organized to go. Please make sure to bring a towel\, a bathing suit (if you want to swim)\, any games/activities that you want\, a sweatshirt and pants\, sunscreen\, and a nut-free/peanut-free snack to share! \nPlease print out/fill out and sign the permission form OR we will have blank hard copy forms at the church during drop-off on the 15th\, if that is easier.
