DESCRIPTION:The First Baptist Church in Beverly (FBC Beverly) in partnership with the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra (NSPO) invites everyone to a family-friendly musical event this Saturday\, May 11\, 2024 starting at 1:30 p.m. at the FBC Beverly located at 221 Cabot Street\, Beverly\, MA 01915 (the fun continues until approximately 3:30 p.m.). The festivities are geared toward preschool and elementary-aged children and include an instrument petting zoo\, crafts\, students performers and the NSPO performing at 3:00 p.m. which will include Carnival of the Animals: Uncaged (a newly commissioned work based on Saint-Saëns Carnival of the Animals).

SUMMARY:Art Opening at First Baptist Church
DESCRIPTION:Come to the opening art reception of Mayonashia Kim Jones at First Baptist Church in Beverly on Wednesday\, April 25 from 6-8pm. Her installation of over two hundred prints will be available to view. There will be refreshments as well as art for sale.\nJones is a student at Montserrat College of Art. Her work reflects the imprisonment of African Americans as well as identity issues within the jail system\, including being called by an inmate number rather than a name. The installation will be on display in the downstairs level of First Baptist Church (221 Cabot St.) from April 25 to May 2.
