SUMMARY:Railroad Earth
DESCRIPTION:For over two decades\, Railroad Earth has captivated audiences with gleefully unpredictable live shows and eloquent and elevated studio output. The group introduced its signature sound on 2001’s The Black Bear Sessions. Between selling out hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison\, CO\, they’ve launched the longstanding annual Hangtown Music Festival in Placerville\, CA and Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival in Ozark\, AR—both running for a decade-plus. Sought after by legends\, the John Denver Estate tapped them to put lyrics penned by the late John Denver to music on the 2019 vinyl EP\, Railroad Earth: The John Denver Letters. Beyond tallying tens of millions of streams\, the collective have earned widespread critical acclaim from David Fricke of Rolling Stone\, American Songwriter\, Glide Magazine\, and NPR who assured\, “Well-versed in rambling around\, as you might expect from a band named after a Jack Kerouac poem\, the New Jersey-built jam-grass engine Railroad Earth has let no moss grow under its rustic wheels.”

SUMMARY:The Man In Black: A Tribute To Johnny Cash
DESCRIPTION:With his strikingly similar looks\, baritone voice\, and spot – on mannerisms\, Shawn Barker’s uncanny resemblance to the original “Man In Black” revitalizes the true character and spirit of Mr. Cash himself\, one of America’s greatest musical icons\, for a truly one – of – a – kind show. The energetic show features Barker in character throughout the entire evening\, walking the audience through each era of Cash’s life and music\, including hits like “Folsom Prison Blues\,” “I Walk The Line\,” “A Boy Named Sue\,” “Hurt\,” and “Ring of Fire\,” complete with a full backing band. \nShawn Barker’s first Man In Black show was held in 2004 at a casino in Niagara Falls and has since performed over 1\,000 shows in 12 countries\, selling more than half a million tickets over the course of his career. Born and raised in a working – class suburb of St. Louis\, Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in church with his family and turned it into a career. The path to his current success wasn’t a straight line from gospel choir to Johnny Cash tribute act. After serving his country in the Army\, Barker returned home to Missouri\, took a job as a carpenter\, and spent all of his free time learning how to play the guitar. He developed strength and versatility in his voice by modeling his crooning on a cast of legends – Johnny Cash\, Elvis Presley\, Roy Orbison\, Buddy Holly and Gene Vincent. His performances quickly turned from hobby to profession\, but oddly enough\, Barker’s first touring gigs were portraying Elvis\, not Johnny Cash. Everything changed\, however\, when Barker was asked to audition for the part of Cash in a Hollywood production\, as it became evident to the director and Barker himself that Johnny Cash was his true calling. From that point there was no turning back.

SUMMARY:Top Of The World- A Carpenter Tribute
DESCRIPTION:THE WORLD’S PREMIERE TRIBUTE TO THE CARPENTERS \nFronted by singer Debbie Taylor\, her Karen Carpenter vocal resemblance is absolutely astonishing. She is backed by a seven piece band consisting of top-notch\, professional industry musicians who have had amazing careers in their own right. The band members are all multi-instrumentalists and at times use 3 keyboards to recreate the incredibly complex arrangements created by Richard Carpenter. The attention to detail paired with saxophone\, trumpet\, flute and many more instruments complete every song to perfection! \nThis show does not use tracks or pick up musicians like other shows. This is an 8 piece band that travels and performs all shows together. Additionally\, they have a multi-media slideshow which can be seen on their “Live Video” below. \nWho can forget the incomparable music of the Carpenters? The popular brother/sister duo of the 70’s and early 80’s gave us some of the most unforgettable ballads and melodic pop songs of all time. \nThis Carpenters Tribute Band brings the most authentic versions of the Carpenters music to the stage. No doubt\, you will be singing along as they perform hits like; “Close To You”\, “We’ve Only Just Begun”\, “Rainy Days And Mondays”\, “Please Mr. Postman” and “Yesterday Once More”\, to name a few. Debbie captures the warm tones and contralto range that made Karen’s voice so unique. Sit back and enjoy as Debbie and her band take you on a nostalgic journey through the Carpenters greatest hits while sharing some of the backstories behind the music.

On her landmark 1967album\, Wildflowers\, she curated a stunning collection featuring originals alongside songs by not-yet household names such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen\, and adventurous selections by Jacques Brel and Francesco Landini. Now\, in her 6th decade as a singer and songwriter\, Judy is experiencing a profound level of growth and prolific creativity. \nThe cultural treasure’s 55th release\, Spellbound\, out February 25\, 2022\, finds Judy enjoying an artistic renaissance. The 13 song album is a special entry in her oeuvre. It marks the first time ever she wrote all the songs on one of her albums. It features 12 new recently-written modern folk songs\, and a bonus track of her evergreen\, “The Blizzard.” Spellbound is an introspective and impressionistic album. It unfolds as if Judy curated a museum exhibit of her life\, and welcomed us into a retrospective of her most formative moments\, some big and public\, and some intensely personal and intimate. \n“They say after the plague came the Renaissance\,” Judy says with a good-natured laugh\, loosely referencing the pandemic. “The truth is\, I didn’t do an album like this sooner because I had other projects on my mind. This album was necessary for me to keep creative—it was the next piece of the puzzle.” She continues: “Now felt like the perfect time to make this record because\, after all that’s happened in the world\, we need something beautiful and inspirational to lift us up.” \nIn Judy’s eloquently written liner notes\, she dedicates Spellbound to folk masters Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. On the album\, she furthers their traditions of generously sharing their lives\, loves\, and personal reflection. Also\, in her notes\, Judy relates the origins of her songwriting—a story some know\, and a testament to how gloriously unpredictable art and the muse are. Story goes that in 1966 Leonard Cohen made a special trip to Judy’s apartment to play her his song\, “Suzanne\,” and\, while there\, asked her why she wasn’t writing her own songs. Her response was to sit down at her Steinway that very day and write\, “Since You’ve Asked.” Judy has been writing ever since then. \nA lifetime and 54 years of songwriting elegantly come forth from Spellbound. The album revisits the thrilling 1960s Greenwich Village years; recreates breathtaking moments in the wilds of Colorado during Judy’s childhood; snapshots her hellraising years; and frames quiet moments of nature from just a few years back. The title references a formative time in Judy’s life when her pure love of the outdoors lured her close to becoming a park ranger. Lyrically\, the songs are impressionistic and evocatively emotional. “I strove to capture what I see with lyrics\, and bring particular times to life\,” she says of the album’s painterly and personal songwriting. \nWhile she celebrates many passages in life with her lyrics\, her vocals sound untouched by time. Judy’s singing on Spellbound shines pristinely as she eases from warm low-register vocals to soaring high tones\, as if no time has elapsed since her singing mesmerized a generation on Wildflowers. “That’s a combination of good fortune\, extreme luck\, and hard work and discipline\,” she reveals. “I do a lot to protect and take care of my voice\, and I practice every day—you have to or you lose it.” \nThe majestical track\, “So Alive\,” is an exhilarating time capsule of a song that documents the dazzling excitement and possibility of 1960s folk boom in Greenwich Village. “So Alive” establishes the album’s sublimely detailed production aesthetic which features a palette of acoustic guitar\, textured electric guitar\, piano\, keys\, lyrical bass lines\, brushed drums\, and Judy’s angelic vocals. The sweetly nostalgic\, “When I was a Girl in Colorado\,” pines for those pre-fame years when Judy’s life centered around seasonal outdoor joys. \nJudy’s flair for literature\, poetry\, and her commitment to social activism shine forth on the stirring “Thomas Merton.” Merton was an author and a monk who spent most of his adult life in a monastery around Louisville\, Kentucky. He was also a potent force in the anti-war movement\, and there have been theories that his death was a murder. Judy addresses this juicy possibility with engrossing storytelling and poetic phrases. One potent passage reads: He dreamed of being an eagle with wings he would fly/from the west and north and the east/Thru rain and sleet and wind and snow/He’d find a way to bring us peace/Long after he was buried/Upon his death concealed/The evidence of bullet holes finally was revealed. The smoldering ballad\, “Arizona\,” showcases Judy’s achingly beautiful vocal floating over a piano ballad lavished with ethereal ambience and layers of heavenly harmony vocals. \nIn the studio Judy worked with a trusted family of musicians\, including co-producer Alan Silverman and singer-songwriter-guitarist Ari Hest. Ari has worked closely with Judy for years\, and\, in 2016\, Judy and Ari were nominated for a “Best Of Folk Album” Grammy for their duet album\, Silver Skies Blue. In the studio the core group of musicians on the album are multi-instrumentalist Thad DeBrock (Duncan Sheik\, Nelly\, Jonas Brothers)\, bassist Zev Katz (Marc Anthony\, Elton John\, Billy Joel)\, and drummer Doug Yowell (Suzanne Vega\, Joe Jackson\, Duncan Sheik) – additional musicians on album are detailed within the album’s liner notes. \nIn a life and a career brimming with milestone moments\, Spellbound is a high watermark of artistry and personal evolution. Though Judy has been writing for half a century\, her new album ushers in an era of unbridled creativity. “I always knew I was going to be a late bloomer\,” she says\, cracking up with laughter.

SUMMARY:Big Head Todd and The Monsters
DESCRIPTION:BIG HEAD TODD AND THE MONSTERS HAVE QUIETLY BECOME AN AMERICAN INSTITUTION FOLLOWING THREE AND A HALF DECADES OF WRITING\, RECORDING\, AND TOURING (TOTALING OVER 3\,500 PERFORMANCES) \nAfter countless sold out shows in amphitheaters and on the high seas\, beaming their tunes to outer space (literally)\, earning the endorsement of everyone from Robert Plant to The Denver Broncos\, and tallying tens of millions of streams\, Big Head Todd and The Monsters cite the friendships formed in the crowd among their proudest accomplishments. Fast forward to 2021 and the Colorado quartet—Todd Park Mohr [vocals\, guitar\, keys\, sax\, harmonica]\, Brian Nevin [drums\, percussion]\, Rob Squires [bass\, vocals]\, and Jeremy Lawton [guitar\, keys\, vocals\, steel guitar]—continue to unite audiences. \n“Friendships have spawned because of our band\,” smiles Todd. “Maybe a bit like the Grateful Dead\, the line between audience and stage has over time become a bit blurred and many lifelong friendships have been made in every direction. I’m very proud of that. Bringing people together and sharing a joy for a couple of hours is an important function of music. Music can cultivate community\, even harmony. We need that!” \nFittingly\, the guys in the band began as friends as well. Todd and Brian first crossed paths in high school jazz band circa 1982. Soon\, the guys started to jam in Brian’s basement also joined by Rob. Sweat-soaked house party gigs and talent shows followed until they became a fixture on the bar circuit “before I was even old enough to drink\,” laughs Todd. As perennial outliers\, the musicians performed original material at these formative gigs\, standing out from a bevy of cover bands in the scene at the time. \nAdopting the moniker Big Head Todd & The Monsters\, they served up their independent debut Another Mayberry in 1989 and Midnight Radio in 1990 to critical acclaim\, setting the stage for their seminal 1993 breakout Sister Sweetly. Powered by staples “Broken Hearted Savior\,” “It’s Alright\,” and “Bittersweet\,” it eventually went platinum\, and they supported Plant on tour. At the time\, Variety hailed Todd as “a soulful singer and nimble lead guitarist\,” while The Los Angeles Times claimed\, “Mohr\, who has a voice like smoke\, writes great songs that incorporates blues\, folk\, rock and country\, which sounds sort of like\, well\, Big Head Todd and the Monsters.” \nThroughout the next decade\, the group presented fan favorites such as Strategem [1994] and Beautiful World [1997]. The latter yielded the cover of “Boom Boom” [feat. John Lee Hooker]\, which famously served as the theme to NCIS: New Orleans. In 2005\, they exceeded our atmosphere altogether. Friends with connections to NASA encouraged Todd to write a song for NASA\, so they ignited 2005’s “Blue Sky.” In 2011\, Big Head Todd and The Monsters played “Blue Sky” live from the middle of Mission Control to awaken the astronauts aboard the shuttle. 2017 saw them release New World Arisin’ to fan adoration and critical acclaim. Glide Magazine claimed\, “such tracks\, like most of this music\, radiate a sense of optimism and purpose ever so welcome in these fragmented times.” \nAlong the way\, the band joined the Denver Broncos on their Super Bowl victory parade\, delivering a triumphant performance to boot. Not to mention\, they’ve headlined their own cruise multiple times and introduced Rockin’ the Reef as a five-night musical extravaganza in Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay Jamaica for 2022. \nBig Head Todd and The Monsters took the stage at hallowed hometown haunt Red Rocks Amphitheatre a staggering 32 times. In June 2021\, they made a rapturous homecoming to Red Rocks for their first full capacity gig at the venue post-COVID. Chronicling the gig\, 303 Magazine described the group as “a longtime pal that has defined Colorado’s blues-rock scene for multiple decades.” \n“The Red Rocks performances have all been special to me\,” Todd goes on. “Growing up in Colorado\, I always loved going to shows there as a teenager. I’m super proud of that. The COVID year was really unique\, because we played there four times before finally getting back in front of a packed house. It meant a lot to all of us.” \nIn 2019\, the band instituted another fan favorite tradition\, by launching Monsters Music Monthly. They revealed a free song and video on a monthly basis\, including “Hoochie Coochie Man” [feat. Buddy Guy]\, “Rosalita” [feat. John Popper of Blues Traveler]\, “Remedy” [feat. Ronnie Baker Brooks]\, “Sunshine of Your Love” [feat. David Hidalgo]\, and more. Todd and Co. have notably managed to collaborate or perform with a myriad of their heroes over the years\, namely Neil Young\, B.B. King\, Allman Brothers\, John Prine\, Albert Collins\, James Cotton\, John Lee Hooker\, Hubert Sumlin\, and dozens more. \n“For a half-Asian kid growing up in Littleton\, Colorado\, it’s not likely I would’ve ever ended up being as involved in blues music as I have been\,” he observes. “It’s unbelievable we’ve gotten to play and even record with some of my idols.” \nIn the end\, Big Head Todd and The Monsters will never stop bringing crowds together. In fact\, they’ll hit the road yet again for a full-scale US tour in winter 2022 with more on the horizon. \n“If I had any message for our listeners\, it would just be\, ‘Thank you’\,” he leaves off. “We’re so fortunate to have lives making music. We’re grateful to be in the situation we’re in\, and we’re going to continue as long as we can.”

SUMMARY:Imagination Movers
DESCRIPTION:THE IMAGINATION MOVERS STORY IS THE ULTIMATE EXAMPLE OF THE POWER OF IMAGINATION. \nIn 2002\, four New Orleans friends– Rich Collins\, Scott Durbin\, Dave Poche\, and Scott “Smitty” Smith– had an idea. \nThey thought kids wanted and deserved music that spoke to them\, not down to them. So\, they started gathering after their kids’ bedtimes to write songs and brainstorm ideas about a children’s television show. \nCelebrating over 20 years of entertaining families\, you can watch the 76 episodes of their Emmy-winning “Imagination Movers” TV show on the Disney+\, or listen to the Movers’ songs\, a catalog of more than 250 original compositions\, which continue to populate the playlists of families everywhere. \nIn 2021\, 8 Pound Gorilla Records released “Happy To Be Here\,” the Imagination Movers’ five-song EP; it promptly entered the Top 10 of Billboard’s Kid Albums Chart and the song Leaves Fall Down received an honorable mention in the Great American Songwriting Contest. \nPresently\, the Movers are dropping a compilation album\, entitled Coveralls: Songs from the Imagination Movers\, featuring artists like ska-legends Mustard Plug\, Brooklyn-based Laundry Day\, Canadian-band Soul Push\, Celtic Folk rockers Carbon Leaf and others covering (or better yet reinterpreting classic Mover songs). \nAnd the Movers will be releasing its first new album since 2018 this year\, tentatively titled Blue Skies.

SUMMARY:Tusk
DESCRIPTION:TUSK HAS BEEN CRISS-CROSSING THE COUNTRY SINCE 2008 AS THE ULTIMATE FLEETWOOD MAC TRIBUTE. \nBut of all the Fleetwood Mac tributes playing around the United States today\, what exactly sets Tusk apart?\nIs it more than five skilled professionals turned masters of their trade through decades of individual musical study\, live performance\, creative risk\, and devotion to the art? \nIs it more than their affection and respect for the Fleetwood Mac experience\, an entity that continues to endure over 50 years of musical and cultural evolution? \nIs it more than vocal similarities\, common physical traits\, or good costumes? \nTo be sure\, one does not fare well in the tribute scene without displaying some or all of these characteristics. So what qualities does Tusk possess that can’t be learned\, bought\, or created simply from a desire to have them? \nChemistry. Synergy. Intuition. \nThe relationship among the five founding members of Tusk has a rich history that goes back more than four decades. Two met while playing Little League baseball. Two others met in middle school band and marched in lockstep through high school. All five have been playing music with one another over the years in various configurations of original bands\, jam bands\, singer-songwriter circles\, and alternative rock groups. Time\, trust\, and close friendship have cultivated an intimate familiarity with each other’s musical nuances\, shaping each performance with such precision that even the slightest variation\, virtually imperceptible to all but the five musicians sharing the stage\, is met with a wink and a nod\, and usually an inside joke. Tusk is more than a band; they are a family. \nExperience the wonder of a Tusk show for yourself.

SUMMARY:New Year's Eve W. Club D'Elf
DESCRIPTION:FEAT. JOHN MEDESKI (MMW) + JENNIFER HARTSWICK (TAB) + NATALIE CRESSMAN (TAB) \nTHIS SHOW WILL END AT 10:30PM. \nClub d’Elf has been helping audiences lose track of time for twenty five years with its mesmerizing synthesis of Moroccan traditional music and electronic\, dubbed-out funk. Circling about bassist/composer Mike Rivard and drummer Dean Johnston\, each Club d’Elf performance features a different line-up\, drawn from a constellation of some of the most creative improvisers from the jazz\, DJ\, rock & world music scenes of Boston\, NYC and beyond. The band’s music draws from a startlingly wide spectrum of styles\, including jazz\, hip hop\, electronica\, avant garde\, prog-rock and dub. Under the tutelage of member Brahim Fribgane (who hails from Casablanca) the band has absorbed Moroccan trance music\, which is now an essential part of the mix. Diverse audiences are drawn to Fribgane’s mesmerizing oud stylings\, and Rivard’s commanding playing of the Moroccan sintir. Trance forms the central core of the Club d’Elf aesthetic\, weaving together the band’s various influences. \nIn April 2022 the band released its latest album\, ‘You Never Know’\, which rose to #2 on the Relix chart. The record unfurls upon kaleidoscopic clouds of spiced smoke\, shifting from chopped dub-jazz through trance epics that reimagine Boston as a city of bazaars. Club \nd’Elf pay tribute to the music and musicians who have been primary influences\, with half the album being covers of gnawa\, Miles Davis\, Joe Zawinul\, Moroccan band Nass el-Ghiwane\, and Frank Zappa. The other half consists of original music inspired by Rivard’s personal journey into darkness following a near death experience in the remote jungle of the Peruvian Amazon. \n“You Never Know is a wide ranging romp\, full of serenity\, chaos\, longing\, improvisation and peerless musicianship inspired by music from India and Morocco as well as the maverick jazz of Miles Davis and Frank Zappa.” – Banning Eyre\, Afropop Worldwide \nJOHN MEDESKI \nFamed keyboardist John Medeski is not easily contained to a single project or genre; he is credited on over 300 works to date\, most notably as one third of the groundbreaking trio\, Medeski Martin & Wood. Equally comfortable behind a Steinway grand piano\, Hammond organ or any number of vintage keyboards\, Medeski is a highly sought after improviser and band leader whose projects range from work with John Zorn\, The Word (Robert Randolph\, North Mississippi Allstars)\, Phil Lesh\, Don Was\, John Scofield\, Coheed & Cambria\, Susana Baca\, Sean Lennon\, Marc Ribot\, Irma Thomas\, Blind Boys of Alabama\, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many more. Classically trained\, Medeski grew up in Ft.Lauderdale\, FL where as a teenager he played with Jaco Pastorius before heading north to attend the New England Conservatory. He released his first solo piano record\, A Different Time\, on Sony’s Okeh Records in 2013\, and current projects include a new album in the works with his band MadSkillet (Terrence Higgins\, Kirk Joseph\, Will Bernard)\, and HUDSON (a collaboration with Jack DeJohnette\, John Scofield & Larry Grenadier)\, plus a documentary on Medeski Martin & Wood. \nJENNIFER HARTSWICK \nTrumpeter and vocalist\, Jennifer Hartswick is one of the most exciting performers in music today. She exudes confidence and joy and brings her own refreshing spirit to the stage every time she performs. Jennifer’s music is honest\, soulful and comes with a maturity far beyond her years. \nHartswick is an original member of the Trey Anastasio Band and has recorded/shared the stage with Herbie Hancock\, Phish\, Christian McBride\, Tom Petty\, Aaron Neville\, Carlos Santana\, The Rolling Stones\, Big Gigantic\, Dave Matthews and countless others. \nJennifer’s live performances are renowned as spontaneous\, joyful and contagious. Her natural charisma and sincerity shines through\, and each performance is a celebration of musical collaboration. And whether she is wailing on the trumpet or singing an intimate vocal solo\, her performance is all part of a single seamless instrument\, one that is played not only with astounding technical proficiency\, but also with sensitivity\, conviction and heart. \nNATALIE CRESSMAN \nPossessing a voice as cool and crystalline as an Alpine stream\, Natalie Cressman is a rising singer/songwriter and trombonist who draws inspiration from a vast array of deep and powerful musical currents. Auburn Whisper—her latest album with guitarist\, composer\, and vocalist Ian Faquini—not only serves as a testament to the couple’s symbiotic musical partnership but also to their resilience during unprecedented times. Written and recorded in 2020\, Auburn Whisper finds the two artists blending traditional Brazilian rhythms with modern\, expansive arrangements—reflecting on people and places they miss while discovering joy within the present moment. \nWhen she’s not performing her own music\, Cressman can be found collaborating with some of the most illustrious figures in rock\, funk\, jazz and beyond\, which have included Carlos Santana\, Phil Lesh\, Dave Matthews\, Phish\, Big Gigantic\, Greensky Bluegrass\, Escort\, Wycliffe Gordon\, Nicholas Payton\, Guinga\, Anat Cohen\, The Motet\, and Umphrey’s McGee. Her passion for groove music hasn’t diluted her love of jazz. In 2016 SFJAZZ commissioned her to develop music for a concert celebrating the legacy of jazz trombonist/arranger Melba Liston.

The band has flourished with more than thirty albums\, releasing twelve studio albums since 1976….Rolling Stone named their early release “Hearts of Stone” as one of the “top 100 albums of the 70s and 80s”….thousands of live performances around the globe\, a legion of famously-dedicated and enthusiastic fans\, and a vibrant legacy of classic songs that have become “hits” to their worldwide fan base. \nSouthside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes perform in front of audiences nationwide\, touring non- stop all year long\, along with live shows in the UK\, France\, Belgium\, Germany\, Spain\, Japan\, The Netherlands and Denmark on a regular basis. \n“With the Jukes\, you’re out there every night leading this great rock n’ roll circus\, giving it everything you’ve got” says Southside Johnny Lyon\, known as The Godfather of “the New Jersey Sound” and who just this past year was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame by close friend Jon Bon Jovi. \nSouthside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes emerged from the New Jersey shore scene in 1974\, and though they carried over a significant influence (and some key personnel) from Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band\, the Jukes evolved as more of a white R&B horn band in the Memphis Stax Records tradition. Organized by singer John Lyon\, guitarist/songwriter Steve Van Zandt (who decamped for the E Street Band in 1975\, but continued to produce\, manage\, and write songs for the Jukes) and Richie Rosenberg\, the band is well known for their high-energy live shows and no-holds-barred songs\, including “I Don’t Wanna Go Home\,” “Havin’ a Party\,” “The Fever\,” “Talk to Me\,” “Trapped Again\,” and “This Time It’s For Real.” \nSouthside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes’ highly acclaimed 2015 album SOULTIME!\, which was their first new studio CD of all original material in five years at the time\, was extremely well- received by critics and fans in the U.S. and abroad. The same year\, Billboard Magazine honored the band with a special issue celebrating their 40th Anniversary. \nSOULTIME!\, released on Leroy Records\, celebrates the transformative power of ‘70s soul music and represents a return to – as Southside sings – “just letting the music take us away”. This release encapsulates everything that fans cherish about Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. The pattern of horns plus rhythm – each song painted with catchy choruses\, top-notch string arrangements and gospel charged vocals – keeps on coming. \nMusic Riot in the UK proclaimed “The more you listen to it the more you realize it is a work of genius. Johnny’s voice is sublime and would melt a heart of stone.” \nWhile critics in the U.S. also raved – “I’ve been waiting for Southside Johnny to make this album for almost 40 years. It’s the best record of his entire career. If you really have soul\, no further explanation necessary” said Dave Marsh/SiriusXM Radio/E Street Channel Host. \nAnd\, “Soul music is not a genre\, it is a way of life. Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes keep the classic R & B clock spinning hot and forward on Soultime!\, one of their best records since they first burst out of that New Jersey night\,” praised music writer David Fricke. \nOn their New Jersey home turf\, The Aquarian Weekly said “Soultime! brings them to a completely different level and delivers genuine R&B-soaked soul right from the Jersey Shore. Oh\, and did I mention that Soultime! is the best album he’s ever recorded.” While New Jersey Arts Daily raved “Soultime! is\, indeed\, one of the most enjoyable albums of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes’ long career.” \nThe CD was written and produced by Jeff Kazee and John Lyon\, and was recorded in the Jukes’ hometown of Asbury Park\, NJ. SOULTIME! features Southside Johnny on vocals and harmonica\, Jeff Kazee on keyboards and vocals\, Glenn Alexander on guitar\, bassist John Conte\, Chris Anderson on trumpet\, John Isley on saxophone\, Neal Pawley on trombone and drummer Tom Seguso. \nIn the spring of 2017\, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes surprised fans by releasing their “Live From E Street” vinyl 12 inch EP\, which immediately made it onto the Billboard Magazine Blues Album Chart at #10\, also on Leroy Records. This new disc featured Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes’ versions of the Bruce Springsteen tracks Jack of All Trades\, Cover Me\, Murder Incorporated and Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out\, all recorded live at the Stony Pony. Only 3000 copies of this limited edition vinyl EP were pressed\, quickly becoming a collector’s item. \nSouthside Johnny’s first three albums\, I Don’t Want To Go Home\, This Time It’s for Real\, and Hearts of Stone were produced by Steven Van Zandt (E Street Band\, The Sopranos) and featured songs written by Van Zandt and Springsteen. “I Don’t Want To Go Home” became Southside Johnny’s signature song\, an evocative mixture of horn-based melodic riffs and soul-searching lyrics. \nWith a decades-long successful career\, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes continue to deliver their soul-searing brand of raucous blues and R&B\, with material mined from their many albums\, featuring hits like “I Don’t Want To Go Home”\, “Love On The Wrong Side Of Town”\, “The Fever”\, “This Time It’s For Real”\, “Talk To Me” and their definitive fun-time cover of “We’re Having A Party”. The Jukes’ legendary high-energy live performances always satisfy with their classic blend of Stax-influenced R&B and gritty\, Stonesy rock and roll. \nStill tinged with the exuberant rhythm and blues feel that is the Jukes’ trademark\, and loaded with the driving sound of the legendary Jukes horn section\, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes continue to expound their signature Jersey Shore sound – all for the sheer joy of it.

SUMMARY:Dawes
DESCRIPTION:Through a tapestry of warm vocals and sun-soaked guitar hooks\, Dawes have made a name for themselves for replicating the feel of the Laurel Canyon sound of the ’70s. But far from being a copy\, the quartet are something retro-inspired\, but with a chilled vibe straight out of the present. \nAfter changing their name from Simon Dawes and swapping post-punk for a more mellow folk-rock sound\, Dawes first rose to prominence in 2010 with an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson\, the LA-based foursome have gone on to work with some of their heroes including playing with Jackson Browne at an Occupy Wall Street event in 2012.
