This live event is centered on menopause\, perimenopause\, and the mental and physical impact it has on our bodies. \nProduced and hosted by Erin LaPlante and Stephanie Lazenby (of the comedy series\, Couch to Mic)\, the evening will be part performance\, part panel discussion\, all joy and empowerment. \nErin and Steph created Period. The End? with the mutual realization that generational silence around menopause\, periods\, childbirth\, hormonal rage and incontinence is the root cause of shame and stigma. \nPeriod. The End? begins with original theatrical pieces by actor/activist Sandi Clark and comedian Monica Dorley\, and features the dynamic performer Sara Juli – whose stage work includes Tense Vagina: An Actual Diagnosis. \nThen Erin and Steph channel their inner Oprah\, moderating an exciting discussion with Dr. Sonja Nelson\, OBGYN; and Krista Haapala\, author\, artist and therapist. They’ll respond to pre-submitted questions from the audience about every aspect of perimenopause and menopause including sex\, hormones\, no hormones\, positive aspects of menopause\, and so much more! \nPeriod. The End? brings radical curiosity\, humor\, and conversations about perimenopause and menopause through the shared community experience of a live multi-media production. Join us!

Her most recent book\, Bird on a Blade (2018)\, was published by University OF Texas Press\, combining images by acclaimed artist Dan Rizzie with Cash’s lyrics. In addition to regular touring\, Cash has partnered in programming collaborations with Carnegie Hall\, Lincoln Center\, SFJAZZ\, the Minnesota Orchestra\, and the Library of Congress. She served as artist-in-residence at New York University and in 2018 and 2023 she was a resident artistic director at SFJAZZ. \nAlong with many other honors and awards\, Cash received the 2021 Edward MacDowell Medal\, awarded since 1960 to an artist who has made an outstanding contribution to American culture.
