SUMMARY:From Terminally Unique to Unstoppably Me: Finding My Neurodivergent Way.
DESCRIPTION:Kev G Mor is a passionate and inspiring artist\, singer-songwriter\, mental health advocate\, and educator based in Beverly\, MA. Diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder\, cPTSD\, ADD\, and ARFID at 35\, Kev has learned firsthand the challenges of living with severe mental illness. However\, rather than letting these struggles define him\, he’s used his experiences to fuel his creative endeavors and his advocacy for mental health. As a resident of Beverly\, Kev is deeply committed to his community and the power of local connections. \nKev’s work spans multiple mediums\, but his voice truly stands out in both his music and his advocacy. He has performed all over the country\, sharing his music\, his message\, and his resilience. He’s also a frequent speaker at events\, having presented at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and Yale University. In his talks\, Kev challenges mental health stigma\, encourages resilience\, and shares the power of lived experience to foster understanding and inspire change. \nKev is also the creator of the “Living Daily Between Semicolons” vlog\, where he offers an honest and intimate look at his life in recovery. This ongoing series has resonated with viewers from around the world\, receiving responses from people who find hope and inspiration in his story. Kev believes in the transformative power of small moments and shares how\, despite living with multiple diagnoses\, he has found ways to thrive and make meaningful progress each day. \nIn this lecture\, Kev will share his personal journey and the valuable lessons he has learned along the way. He’ll speak on how embracing creativity—through music\, art\, and storytelling—has been essential to his healing and resilience. Kev will also provide practical strategies for navigating mental illness and neurodivergence\, focusing on how to find what works for you rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. \nSome key topics covered will include:\n🎤 Creativity as Healing: How music and art have served as tools for emotional processing and recovery.\n🧠 Navigating Neurodivergence: Embracing your unique way of thinking and finding strength in difference.\n💡 Breaking Stigma with Lived Experience: The power of sharing our stories to change mental health systems and culture.\n🎯 Small Steps\, Big Change: How incremental progress can lead to profound transformation in mental health and self-expression.\n🤝 Audience Q&A: Kev will engage with the audience to foster open and honest conversation about mental health\, creativity\, and resilience. \nThis event is free and open to all—whether you live with mental illness\, love someone who does\, or simply want to learn more about navigating mental health and creativity\, this lecture will offer something valuable for everyone. \nKev’s ability to speak from lived experience with humor\, vulnerability\, and authenticity makes this a must-attend event for anyone interested in mental health\, self-expression\, or simply learning from someone who’s been through it all and found a way to thrive.
