From his bluegrass beginnings through his otherworldly Flecktones\, his duo with Chick Corea and his reimagining of Rhapsody in Blue\, Fleck’s work never fails to surprise. What doesn’t surprise is the impeccable caliber of his collaborators — and this new trio includes two of the most gifted musicians of their generation. The harpist\, Castañeda\, hails from Bogotá\, Colombia\, and has led his own bands in addition to sharing projects with such masters as Hiromi\, Paquito D’Rivera and Grégoire Maret. 5-time Grammy-winner Sánchez grew up in Mexico City and built a reputation as one of the great jazz drummers through his work with guitarist Pat Metheny. He’s also been a visionary bandleader\, helming progressive groups like Bad Hombre\, and collaborated with Chick Corea\, Gary Burton\, Charlie Haden\, Michael Brecker and other giants. His Golden Globe-nominated drum-set score for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s 2014 film Birdman earned him renown far outside the jazz world.

Palminteri played 18 characters and brought them all to life in his autobiographical play. His friends\, enemies and family came alive on stage. Hollywood Studios went crazy after seeing it and offered him millions of dollars to turn it into a major movie. There was one catch… They wanted to put a star in the role of Sonny and someone else to write the screenplay. With $200 dollars in the bank…Palminteri said No… he would hold out and wait. He wanted to play Sonny and write the screenplay. Then one night Palminteri walked into his dressing room and sitting there was Robert De Niro who just saw the show. Robert DeNiro gave Palminteri the chance he was waiting for… And as they say in Hollywood the rest is history. \nPalminteri wrote the screenplay for the film A Bronx Tale and then most recently wrote the book for the Broadway Musical. It was the first time in history that the same actor wrote the one-man play\, the movie\, and the Broadway Musical and starred in each one. \nIn the past 35 years\, Chazz has appeared in over 60 films. To name a few – The Usual Suspects\, Analyze This\, Mulholland Falls\, Jade\, Guide to Recognizing Your Saints\, Legend\, and Bullets over Broadway\, which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He has starred in over 20 television series and has won 3 Emmy’s. Chazz is most recently seen in Modern Family\, Godfather of Harlem\, Law & Order and Gravesend.

DESCRIPTION:They are New York’s favorite band\, they sold more than 150 million records\, they helped establish Billy Joel’s formidable sound\, and they continue to perform their legendary hits still to this day. \nBefore they were The Lords of 52nd Street\, you could find them playing at local clubs in Long Island under different band names. Richie Cannata on sax and Keys Russell Javors on guitar\, Doug Stegmeyer on bass and Liberty Devitto on the drums played on the NY circuit for a few years..Up and coming performer Billy Joel was looking for the “New York sound”… \nJoel was looking to form a new band that will record and tour with him regularly. Stegmeyer was immediately accepted into the Billy Joel Band\, and Joel asked if Stegmeyer knew any other players\, specifically a New York style drummer. Stegmeyer recommended\, Russell Javors and Liberty DeVitto\, for the part. DeVitto frequently played gigs with Joel’s high school band “The Hassles” at Plainview’s My House. To say the least\, Joel and DeVitto were not foreign to each other’s playing. No one ever expected these musicians would cross paths again\, and help form one of pop music’s most famous bands.
