Author Talk with John Young

Join us for a reading and author talk by John Young, author of When the Coin is in the Air. In this coming-of-age novel and a narrative of a family in conflict, John Young tells the story of Jason Blake as he tries to find his place in the world in the aftermath of an upbringing surrounded by domestic violence and uncertainty. After leaving the Midwest he travels to Massachusetts and Europe, looking to get away from his family and the danger that is always close by. A suspenseful story filled with tragedy, humor and pathos, come hear John Young talk about how he and his character ended up settling in the North Shore.
