CSEM Presents: Trio Langostino in Concert

CSEM is proud to present Trio Langostino, a new ensemble made up of Early Music superstars Cynthia Roberts, Phoebe Carrai, and Peter Sykes.

Sykes, Roberts, and Carrai have been friends since they met in the late 70’s at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. After receiving their degrees, Sykes, Roberts, and Carrai went on to establish successful careers worldwide. It was only after many years of traveling and performing that the three met up again to play a concert, rediscovering the wonder of making music together. Now, all three members teach together at the Juilliard School in New York, and have come together to form the Trio Langostino, named after their shared connections to Cape Cod and love of the ocean and its delicious bounty.

In their concert debut together, these three internationally acclaimed musicians come together with a lifetime of experience to share their favorite Baroque chamber music masterpieces. The new trio promises a program of virtuosity, discovery, and infectious musical joy with works of Stradella, Gabrielli, Biber, J.S. Bach, Platti and Boismortier.
