Love Letters – A play by A.G. Gurney

Childhood sweethearts maintain a lifelong correspondence that supports them both through years of life’s many joys and disasters. A.R. Gurney’s two-character play is a humorous and emotional story of love’s powerful connection.

Love Letters follows the relationship between a studious and stoic man, Andy and a free-spirited woman, Melissa both born to wealth and position, as chronicled in the letters they write to each other. Romantically attached, for almost half a century, two lifelong, complicated friends discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and missed opportunities.

A play in two acts. 90-minutes with intermission.
