Neighborhood Conversations: “Accessibility & Disability,” pt. 3

April 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The Heathmere Center for Cultural Engagement is excited to invite you to the final “Neighborhood Conversations” on “Accessibility and Disability.” The aim of this facilitated dialogue series is to reflect on what it means to be a city that fully embraces and recognizes the agency of differently-abled people.

At each event we will hear from speakers whose lived experiences will invite us to consider, on both a personal and city level, how we can create a more caring community for everyone. We will then gather in small, facilitated dialogue groups to explore questions that will help us connect more deeply with others in our community

For our third part, we are excited to learn from Areeba Khan, MS, ATP; Director of Assistive Technology, Northeast Arc, who will help us understand how we can better support individuals in our community to become more independent members of society.

Co-sponsored by the Beverly Public Library, Beverly Human Rights Committee, and the City of Beverly.
Funded in part by Mass Humanities.
