Sunday: A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Hale Farm

July 12 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$20.00

Shakespeare in the Park at Historic Hale Farm
Experience the magic of Shakespeare in the Park as two local nonprofit organizations join forces to bring a weekend of live theater to the historic lawn of Hale Farm, one of Beverly’s most treasured landmarks.

Nestled among centuries-old trees and the beautiful grounds of the 1694 Hale Farm, this enchanting outdoor production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream invites audiences to enjoy one of the Bard’s most beloved comedies in a setting that feels as magical as the play itself. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle onto the lawn, and enjoy an unforgettable afternoon or evening of theater under the open sky.

Filled with romance, laughter, and just the right amount of mischief, A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows four young lovers, a troupe of bumbling actors, and a mischievous band of fairies through an enchanted forest where nothing goes quite as planned. When the playful fairy Puck uses a magical love potion at the command of King Oberon, affections are scrambled, mistaken identities abound, and hilarity ensues. As spells go awry and chaos reigns, the story ultimately finds its way to forgiveness, harmony, and a joyful triple wedding, proving that love, while unpredictable, has a way of finding its proper course.

This special collaboration celebrates the power of community, history, and the performing arts, transforming the grounds of Hale Farm into an open-air stage where Shakespeare’s timeless storytelling comes alive in one of the North Shore’s most beautiful historic settings.
