Game Talk: Philip E. Orbanes, Author and Game Designer

November 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$10.00

During WWII, European allies created a special version of the popular Parker Brothers game, Monopoly, hiding secret contraband within the game–such as tools, maps, and money–and sent to allied servicemen held in German POW camps to help them escape. Philip E. Orbanes, former president of Winning Moves Games and preeminent authority on Monopoly, will discuss this little-known history and the subject of his new book, Monopoly X.

The talk will be followed by Q&A and sale and book signing of Orbanes’ Monopoly X presented in conjunction with Copper Dog Books.

Monday, November 17, 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm)

General Public: $10
