Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is right
around the corner. With the need for food here in our community as great as ever,
the largest one-day food drive in the nation will be held on Saturday, May 13. Over
the last 30 years, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has delivered close to 1.8 billion
pounds of food to pantries, food banks, shelters, and churches across the country.
Leave non-perishable food next to your mailbox and your local letter carrier will
pick up all donations on their regular delivery route on Saturday, May 13th. All food
collected will then be sorted and distributed to local food pantries, including Beverly
Bootstraps.
With hunger affecting 1 in 8 Americans, including millions of children, senior
citizens, and veterans, this drive is one way you can help those in your city. Beverly
Bootstraps provides critical resources to people living in Beverly as well as
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex, Hamilton, and Wenham. Please support people in
need right here in your community by donating our food pantry’s most needed
items:
Peanut Butter
Boxed Pasta
Mac & Cheese
Canned Veggies
Diapers/Pull-ups Size 3-6 and Baby Wipes
Cereal
Tuna Fish
Cooking Oils/Sprays
Soup
Personal Hygiene items (Full Size: Shampoo/Conditioner, Soap, Deodorant, Razors,
Toothpaste/Toothbrushes)
Please do not donate expired food or anything in glass containers.

Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they
may achieve self-sufficiency. They offer emergency housing and long-term
assistance including access to food, housing stability, adult education, counseling,
and advocacy. They are community-funded and supported.
